Brief Description

An excellent cheap run about that provides economical motoring in reasonable comfort.

Reliability

The car experienced difficulty starting on cold mornings - changed the glow plugs at a cost of around £20 for the parts and solved the issue instantly.

No other issues with the car whatsoever.

Performance

Performance can be best described as laid back. This was an old diesel design, the Escort TDi was a much fast car, although I never bought this car to go fast.

Practicality

Good head and leg room the car is capable of seating five adults in comfort.

The Escort has a large boot and you can pretty much transport any load you are ever likely to with the rear seats folded down.

Comfort

The car came with a sunroof, electric windows, air coniditioning and remote boot opening. The seats are of a good quality and the trim level is adequate. The passenger cabin doesn't suffer too badly from road noise.

Excellent MPG returned, cheap servicing costs and the car costing only £1000 made this car very cheap to run indeed.
